Schnabeltier

Business Closed

Update – Aug. 11, 2022
Greetings our beloved Schnabeltier fans! We have some news to share with you. RapidView LLC, the parent company of Schnabeltier, has donated the former Schnabeltier property and buildings to The Outlet Youth Center of Rochester, Indiana through the Northern Indiana Community Foundation. The Outlet Youth Center provides a safe, structured environment for all Fulton County area youth. We always viewed Schnabeltier as a way to give back to the community, and it only seemed right that we could use this building to help support and expand the important work that the Outlet Youth Center is doing in our community.

We have found a great new home for the cheese making equipment. Dutch Girl Creamery, of Lincoln Nebraska lost their creamery to a fire earlier this year. Our complete system will allow them to get up and running quickly and start crafting their amazing goat and cow cheeses. I urge you all to check them out and support these wonderful artisans.

The brewing equipment found a new home just a half hour south at 7 Pillars Brewing Co. in Peru, Indiana. A great group of people with an exciting vision. Please be sure to support them and try their tasty and unique pizzas while enjoying a pint.

All the wine equipment will help our good friends at McClure’s Orchard / Winery expand their hard cider and wine production. The McClure family has built an impressive business and we urge all our fans to visit them, also in Peru, Indiana. We are sure that you will become McClure fans in no time.

Thank you all again, for nearly 8 wonderful years, supporting Schnabeltier. We will miss you all!

RapidView LLC has donated the former Schnabeltier property and buildings to The Outlet Youth Center of Rochester, Indiana through the Northern Indiana Community Foundation. The Outlet Youth Center provides a safe, structured environment for all Fulton County area youth.

RapidView operated the Schnabeltier production facility since 2014, until its recent closure. “We always viewed Schnabeltier as a way to give back to the community, and it only seemed right that we could use this building to help support and expand the important work that the Outlet Youth Center is doing in our community, “Kris Robison, Partner and CFO of RapidView, said.

“The gift of this property will allow us to greatly expand our services, provide outdoor activities and opens up many new programing possibilities for the kids that attend our programs and events. Owning our own building was the next step, as we were already outgrowing our current location. We are very thankful for the donation of this facility,”   said Patience Hisey, Director of The Outlet Youth Center.

The property, located on Apache Drive in Rochester, includes 2.22 acres with outdoor areas and two buildings totaling 10,740 square feet. The donation also includes furniture, fixtures, and appliances that the Outlet can repurpose. The donation of the property will free up funds that The Outlet were spending on rent and maintenance of their current location and ensure that they have a permanent home as they expand in the future.

The Outlet Youth Center is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. If you wish to donate to their efforts please visit https://www.theoutletyouthcenter.org/donate or call 574-223-5437.
